'Persepolis' als s/w Comicverfilmung

Mit Persepolis ist jetzt ein französischer Zeichentrickfilm aus dem Jahr 2007 auf DVD erschienen. Basierend auf dem gleichnamigen Comic von Marjane Satrapi erzählt der (größtenteils) in schwarzweiß gehaltene Zeichentrickfilm die Kindes- und Jugendgeschichte der Regisseurin während der Islamischen Revolution im Iran. Marji muss in der Schule die pro-islamische Indoktrination über sich ergehen lassen, erfährt von der Schließung der Universitäten unter der neuen Regierung, eckt mit ihrem Wunsch nach Jeans und westlicher Musik sowie ihrer Abneigung gegen das Kopftuch an; sie hört von den Folterungen unter dem Regime des Schah, erlebt Verhaftungen und Demütigungen in der Familie durch Islamisten und muss von ihrem Onkel Abschied nehmen, der als Spion für die Sowjetunion in der Hinrichtungszelle sitzt. Von den Schrecken des Irakisch-Iranischen Krieges schreibt ihr ein Cousin nach Hause. Die bürgerlichen, intellektuellen Eltern schicken sie schließlich mit 14 Jahren ins Ausland.
"Persepolis" ist erfreulich altmodisch in seiner zweidimensionalen Darstellung, aber erschreckend radikal in seiner politischen Aussage aus der Sicht eines pubertierenden Mädchens. Ein ungewöhnlicher Zeichentrickfilm für Erwachsene, den man gesehen haben sollte!
